The best drug is the sound of my own voice. Unfortunately, my hearing is still somewhat affected, so Lord knows what I agreed to when it was whispered (so I perceived) from the back of the room. The class neither wept nor fled, and I take comfort from that.
I think this is relateable: When the boeing 747 had landed and was taxiing to the gate the captain said over the p.a. "Well you know what they say - any flight you walk away from is a good one!"
