People want to know what a crazed killer looks and sounds like. Whether this is useful or not, I don't know, but I don't think the public should be denied. Should the material be edited? Obviously. Should it be run 24/7, carpeting the airwaves? No. I wish we all had Internet so that only those who want to see can do so. But we already have a device that accomplishes the same thing. It's called the TV remote control. Might the video cause pain to the families of those killed or wounded? I'm not sure. Those folk probably have a burning curiosity concerning the person who did what seems an inexplicable act. Right now they are probably searching for understanding. This is a piece of information that might aid that understanding. What about "the kids"? I would have to be convinced that many of them would suffer some kind of grievous harm before I would refuse to present this information. A footnote: I have seen none of the video. I don't want to. It has been easy to avoid.
