Happy am I, happy as can be that the Democrats got a little bit of their own back. But I'll just quote this directly from old Charlie Cook, the political lighthouse keeper. I don't know if he has the numbers exactly right, but I have no doubt about the underlying truth.
Most Americans reside ideologically between the 30-yard lines. Indeed, 47 percent of voters in this election called themselves moderates, 32 percent conservative and just 21 percent liberal.
